That’s why we provide you with a network of authorized agents and a full range of services to support your maintenance operations throughout the life of your equipment.
Why is regular maintenance essential?
- Extends the life of your engine and maintains its performance.
- Reduces the risk of unexpected breakdowns and repair costs.
- Maintains the manufacturer’s 2-year warranty and extends coverage up to 5 years with the CARE+3 program for recreational applications.
Key steps in maintaining your engine
1. Remove and clean the heat exchanger bundle
Regularly remove and clean the heat exchanger bundle, either every two years or every 500 hours of use. This essential step helps maintain optimal operating temperature.
2. Check the belt tension
Check belt tension and tooth wear. Incorrect tension can lead to malfunction or premature breakage.
3. Replace the sea water pump impeller every year
The impeller is crucial to engine cooling. In the event of failure, debris can clog the heat exchangers and cause overheating.
4. Inspect air filter
Nanni air filters are reusable after cleaning with oil, but must be replaced if the fins are bent or torn. A damaged filter lets through particles that can damage the turbo or intake.
5. Replace oil and fuel filters
Change the oil and fuel filters (30 microns) at every annual service or every 250 hours.
6. Check exhaust elbow for leaks
Check the fixing and look for signs of corrosion. Don’t forget to check the state of the zinc anode if is it present on the elbow, to be replace if needed. Especially on the 115 model.
7. Inspect all hoses
Make sure none of the hoses are cracked or weakened by temperature. Also check the condition of the oil drain hose connected to the air filter.
8. Check electrical components
Electrical components must never be immersed in water. Unclip them and reclip them as necessary to ensure their good condition.
When is maintenance due?
- Every year or 250 hours: oil change, filters, pump turbine, anodes.
- Every 2 years or 500 hours: cleaning of cooling system, heat exchanger and aftercooler.
Don’t forget: rigorous maintenance, carried out by an authorized agent in accordance with the recommendations in the maintenance booklet, is essential to maintain the validity of your warranty.
